I am a member of this site I am sorry to say that this site is not helping me at all. I need something to increase my speed in shorthand. But there is no way which could help me to do so. As I had suggested earlier, it would be nice if there is an audio dictation according to the levels of the candidates, and then below the shorthand script where they could check there mistakes.
I am sure if this is done, then it would be just like a classroom. Where a person can learn, practice and then test his shorthand skill.

Thank you for this site. Unlike other Shorthand users, I am self taught and almost anything that helps me become more familiar with Pittman Shorthand is an advantage. Keep up the good work.

I agree with Molly which is that it is a great advantage to have any help when you are self taught. To increase short hand speed, why not record the news and practice trying to keep up with the speed of the speakers. The only way to increase speed is to keep practicing. Thank you. Melon.

No, Molly, I suspect you're by no means the only self-taught Pitman writer here. After all, how many organised shorthand courses do you know of in the average town nowadays? I've attempted several systems, always self-taught, only ever partially-completed, and now I'm back with dear old New Era - first tackled it back in the '60s! - brushing it up like mad, and hoping, like you, to keep it up and to gain speed at both writing and reading skills.

I have already registered with this site and was helping to the students who are interested in learning shorthand as I am a qualified stenographer possessing fifteen years of speed writing in major organisations.
For quite some time I was away due to domestic reasons and could not access to this site. hence I wish to register again and would like to help those needy.
I regret that I could not access for a few period which I hope would never occur again.
wishing you all best and enjoy the art of writing of shorthand

I can't even get in the site any more! If I say I lost my password, it switches to a screen that I have to register (and mentions paying with PayPal even though elsewhere you say it's free). If I Register, it says I have to enable Cookies, which I have for this site. It blocks me at every turn. I tried to use the Contact Us form and fill out a comment, but then when I finished it says "You are not authorized to use this resource" and blanked my message. That is a decidedly user-unfriendly site and you are even blocking new joiners. Can you PLEASE tell me what's going on?

Oh, more specifically, the "Lost Password" screen said that that resource was viewable only by registered members. Which means that if people don't have a cookie and lost their password, the system is assuming they never registered and blocks them. Why not let such people at least enter an e-mail so they system can check its list of e-mails for members and send a password back to that e-mail? I am really getting frustrated at the forum which is keeping both new and previous people out.

In 1994, the entertainment tycoon Sony put forward PS with great functions on the market, driving the game consoles which was too simple while comparing with Nintendo off the throne of the leader of domestic game console in that year.R4 SDHC Relying on the powerful entertainment resources, Sony started to reposition the market for home gamer player with simple model, rought picture and spared great efforts to position game as a visual feast.
